You activate them on the Gaijin website, not in-game.

How to Redeem War Thunder Codes
- Visit the official Gaijin website and log in to your War Thunder account.
- Open the "Redeem bonus code" tab at the top of the page.
- Enter the code into the activation field exactly, since codes are case-sensitive.
- Click Activate to apply the decal or bonus to your account.
- Find new decals in the customization menu on the relevant vehicle.
